Ingredients

1 (0.35 oz) pack Annie Chun’s Organic Sesame Seaweed Snack
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
3 tablespoons refined coconut oil or canola oil
⅓ cup popcorn kernels
1-2 tablespoon melted vegan butter, to taste
Salt to taste

Method

Crumble the seaweed snacks in a spice grinder, small food processor, or using a mortar and pestle. Transfer to a small bowl. Then grind the toasted sesame seeds until they are slightly chopped, but still have texture. Mix the sesame seeds into the crumbled seaweed snack.

In a large pot with a lid, add oil along with 3 popcorn kernels. Heat over medium heat until the oil is hot and you hear the popcorn pop.

Add the rest of the popcorn kernels and cover pot. Remove pot from heat and wait for about 30 seconds, then place the pot back over heat.

Shake pot while it is over the stove and wait to hear the popcorn pop. Once popcorn has stopped popping, turn off the heat and remove the popcorn. Drizzle over the melted vegan butter and add sesame seaweed seasoning. Salt popcorn to taste and enjoy!
